The Academy of Computer Science and Engineering Middle School prepares students for success in middle school, high school, and beyond by providing a wide range of learning opportunities, including programming, robotics, digital design, and project management. These hands-on experiences allow students to explore diverse pathways in the ever-evolving field of computer science, sparking curiosity and encouraging innovation. With a project-based curriculum aligned with the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), students grow as creators, problem solvers, and forward-thinking innovators, ready to excel in the digital age. Far more than just coding, the Academy fosters critical thinking, design thinking, and responsible digital citizenship, equipping students to thrive in a rapidly changing technological landscape. Through partnerships with renowned organizations such as ISTE, Harvard University’s Project Zero, Amazon Future Engineers, and MakerspaceCT, the Academy provides technology-rich experiences that inspire the next generation of global leaders and collaborators.  Ms. Jill Wnuk Wojtyna, principal of the Academy stated,   "This is a wonderful recognition for the staff as we work to continually expand our theme and the offerings for students. We are creating leaders in the field of computer science and engineering that will make a difference in the future.”
